"-- flap attached to front cover. "Patrick is a teacher and a painter with an obsession for perfection. On a June morning he arrived for the last lesson in his classroom at the Academy of Fine Arts. He is ready to leave Rome to start from scratch in Venice, a city made of water and charm. Biding farewell to his students, giving them a farewell message that is also a spiritual testament: "Always believe in emotions, believe in love, without being afraid to make mistakes because mistakes are sometimes just to bring us happiness." He goes back home and before leaving he decided to go once more to the attic to take a last look at the picture that portrays the woman he loved much, the woman whose memory he always thinks of. But when he discovers the canvas, he sees it as empty: the woman seems to have abandoned the framework. Dismayed, Patrick covers the painting again. Hastily he abandons the attic and Rome, and runs to the airport. During the flight, however, he hits his head and on arrival finds himself confused, can not quite remember why he left. But in his pocket he has a card with an address and a name: "Feliz Residence Point". He will go there and find a new and strange family ready to welcome him. Miguel, the owner of the guesthouse... Vince, gondolier with a broken heart from a love gone wrong; Enrique, small and curious and enthusiastic as only children can be. The new life of Patrick flows between amnesia and discoveries, while at a party meets Raquel and has no doubts: she is the woman who has fled from his picture. After the resounding success of his debut novel, The Blue Moon, Massimo Bisotti is back to thrill readers with his prose that seems like magical poetry, made of feelings and sudden illuminations on the human soul. An unforgettable book, on losing and finding oneself, memory and acceptance of oneself, on the importance of remaining faithful to what is most true and necessary."-- cataloger's translation of http://www.libreriauniversitaria.it/
